Touching the Aging with Mercy
“This THANK YOU letter is a long time coming. Along with my donation, I wanted to communicate my thanks and the importance of Mercy Care services. It seems such a small thing, a ride, but to the receiver, it is not. We tend to take our resources for granted, when said resource is no longer available or taken away, the stress of finding replacement is impactful. Honestly, this was one of the very few times I felt alone and unconnected. Kathy swooped in and provided the service and more importantly for me, the smile and giving attitude. So thankful that there is a service such as Mercy Care for the Adirondacks, particularly in the Adirondack Park. So thankful for the kindness. Thanks Kathy and thank you Mercy Care!!!”
“My Mercy Care worker has been here for me in so many ways. I think of her as a dear friend. As my physical problems get worse, I realize how blessed I am to have these angels in my life.”
Mercy Care relies solely on charitable contributions from individuals and private foundations.
We receive no government funding. The errands of mercy carried out by our Volunteers are freely given to their elder neighbors and are provided free of charge. The community itself supports Mercy Care through volunteer service and generous financial support.
